The answer to whether animals have a soul is yes but only because of a technicality.

Do animals have souls got questions. So it appears that God has equipped the human soul with more capacities in order to fulfill a purpose unsuited for animals. Our souls are rationaltheirs arentand ours are rational because theyre spiritual not material. Animals dont have souls Christian theologians used to teach that only beings with souls deserved ethical consideration.

Some people say animals have a spirit but not a soul some say they have a soul but not a spirit. There is a difference between the soul and the spirit and since most dont understand what that difference is they get the two confused. Animals did not have souls and therefore did not have any moral rights.

The reason you can have this hope is because from the very beginning of time in the original state of holiness the Garden of Eden it appears there were animals. Men are made up of a body a spirit and a soul.

The Bible does not clearly state whether we will see our pets again in heaven but Scriptures suggests the presence of animals in heaven. Animals are considered souls according to the Bible and every living soul died in the sea Revelation 163. Humans have been given the choice of Free Will whether they choose Heaven or Hell.

The Scriptures tell us that like humans animals receive the breath of God or spirit to come alive and then they become souls. It bothers me that certain Christiansdenominations dont believe that the animals that have lived here on Earth will go to heaven because they dont have a soul.
